Vegas Weddings and Viva Las Vegas Weddings Official Press Statement about the Authentic Brands Group (ABG) cease-and-desist letter issued in May 2022:

We at Vegas Weddings and Viva Las Vegas Weddings are concerned by the ABG, and Elvis Presley Enterprises cease and desist letter. 

The possible legal actions of ABG and Elvis Presley Enterprises will impact the Las Vegas wedding and tourism industry. Couples of all backgrounds from all over the world dream, and plan to one day enjoy the Las Vegas Elvis Wedding experience. 

The Elvis Wedding experience is synonymous with "Only in Vegas" and drives revenue into the city of Las Vegas, Clark County, and the entire state of Nevada every year. Not only does the Las Vegas Elvis Wedding experience bring so much happiness to generations of lovebirds but it is the livelihood for countless individuals, and many small businesses.

The Elvis persona has sustained the Wedding Capital of the World for over 50 years; that economy is now being threatened. The Las Vegas wedding industry struggled to survive the economic hardships brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic. The Las Vegas Wedding industry is a landscape comprised of small business and family-owned wedding chapels going back decades. Although, the Las Vegas small business wedding chapels may have heritage, legacy, and/or international branding, profit margins are small in a service business. We need every edge we can to stay profitable and withstand economic hardship.

The possible legal actions of ABG and Elvis Presley Enterprises will affect thousands of jobs and lives globally. Vegas Weddings and Viva Las Vegas Weddings have secured legal counsel and have requested an "extension of response".
